Welcome to Los Mochis
Where Mexican and Japanese cuisines are blended for the first time resulting in unique and complex flavour combinations with maki rolls, ceviches, tiraditos, tacos and many other delectable dishes.
From an outlandish idea to combine two of our Founder’s favourite cuisines, Los Mochis was created, not just as a restaurant and bar, but somewhere fun and memorable to experience with family and friends.

The concept
Our chefs use the finest, seasonal, and sustainable products from best-in-class artisans to create a highly technical, ever-evolving menu that is entirely gluten, nut and celery free. Our main menu contains minimal dairy throughout, and all our vegetarian dishes are also vegan by design, allowing you to indulge without compromise.
Each plate is designed to be shared, and enjoyed amongst a cacti-filled, design-led space with vibrant Mexican art hanging from exposed brick walls.
Our Story
Los Mochis, founded by serial entrepreneur Markus Thesleff in the heart of Notting Hill during the 2021 pandemic, quickly gained a devoted following for its evolving menu, named after Markus's beloved Yorkshire terrier, Mochi.
We've received prestigious awards like the New Lifestyle Business of the Year at the London Lifestyle Awards and the SME Greater London Award for Best Mexican Cuisine in West London.
But our commitment goes beyond accolades. For every meal enjoyed here, we provide a meal to the less fortunate through our partnership with The Felix Project London, totalling 264,259 meals over two years.
We also celebrate National Dog Day with a 'Doggy Menu,' and all profits support Silver Fox Dog Rescue, rehoming abused puppies and dogs.
In collaboration with Belu Water, advocating for WaterAid UK, we address global challenges like clean water access and the climate crisis. At Los Mochis, we blend culinary excellence with a deep commitment to our community and the world's pressing issues.
